Connecting Corridors says: Left Coast Vibe, East Coast Drift ~ Had fun flying my Surfrider USOA (United States and Oceans of America) flag this morning while sailing on the Chowan River. @slightlychoppy and @surfrider partnered together to cross promote the Surfrider Foundation’s mission which is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves and beaches, for all people, through a powerful activist network. The beautiful hand-made canvas flag is created by surfer, painter, designer and collector, Scott Richards of Newport Beach, CA. His one-of-a-kind “surf artifacts” are each cut, stained and stitched and the maker uses an innovative process that includes hand done typography,
letters trimmed from felt, well used stencils, carefree tea-stains and worn canvas. My flag is serving double duty since I proudly fly it on both of our wooden boats — Melonseed & Church Skiff. Send a little love to these surf loving activists! @surfrider_obx #guide2albemarlesound
