The original lids on these Hewes Bayfishers are 1.5″ thick, so to make sure the 3/4″ acrylic lid fits correctly, I make a 3/4″ starboard spacer with a Buna-N rubber seal to fill the gap and ensure that the lid fits flush with the deck. These lids look killer when installed. Really tie the room together.
