Capt. Joe says: Sean took time out of his busy schedule this past weekend to come visit Rockport and help us with Harvey repairs. We finished flooring the last bedroom and bathroom at the #bluelagoonflylodgerockport a day early and it deserved some celebration. I’m so thankful for all the help from family and friends who have helped us get our house pieced back together. When I learned Sean had never caught a redfish on fly, I was pretty stoked for an opportunity to try and help change that. We took an impromptu outing on the @scoutinflatables #Scout365 since the #BTMosquito doesn’t live in Rockport at the moment. After poling all around creation on Sunday morning, Sean had fed enough redfish to where I stopped counting. We saw many backs, many tails, some angry eats, and school after school gorging on the plethora of available food sources. To get to share that first time experience with a close bud was worth it’s price in gold. Literally and figuratively. Sean and I have enjoyed some pretty epic fly fishing adventures including hopper season in Montana, but I hope this ruined him to a whole different level. Thanks @terra_m_lucas for the hall pass. We had a blast.
