Capt. Joe says: How close can you get to tailing fish in order to catch a short range photo before they spook? It’s good practice, and I feel like it’s helping me learn tons more about how they behave. It’s a weird feeling getting so close with no intent to catch them. Interesting test of patience, control, and managing one’s emotions – – fish therapy. Catching fish period is a bonus, #onthefly is icing. However, getting out there and watching these amazing creatures tail in a school 15ft from you while you sip an IPA, without them realizing you’re there…with no fly rod to feed them…it’s absolute torture but this is what it means to be at one with nature. Feels damned good. #BlueLagoonFlyLodgeRockport
