Ian Hroncich says: First of all, happy Friday everyone. Second, after spending some time editing this picture I realized something that is probably pretty obvious to many. Boston Whalers have a super dry ride, and for most boats that is accomplished with flair at the bow. However Whalers take that to an extreme and the v is almost completely covered by the flat top of the bow. I always wondered why Whalers had a square bow, and I think I just figured it out. I may be adjusting some of my design ideas after this realization, my only reservation is that I do like the pointed bow with the deeper V. I may sacrifice stability but I will be gaining speed, which may or may not be worth the trade off.
Can anyone confirm or deny my theory?
