If U gill hook a desperate fish he’s likely to die. We landed this fish on a size 12 hook that was rigged in front of the fly! It took him 3 tries but he finally ate it and was hooked right in the front of the lip. As soon as he was in the net the hook slid out, I snapped this shot and off he went. They’re scrappy little critters but fragile just the same. Kinda like us!
