Trout Cowboy says: •Playing in the Deep End•
–
“In the Lowcountry our fishing opportunities are incredibly tide-sensitive. So if you’re fishing a flood, you typically focus on water where tails can be seen (about up to your knees or so). However- like everything else in life, there are exceptions.
This feisty fiddler feeder was one.
~
It was close to waist deep, with all hope lost a tail waved me over to some thick grass. The first cursed cast got hung on spartina right behind him. A mixed bag of foul language and tugging, the fly was unhung and laid out down the lane of his gluttonous rampage. Explosion.. strip-set… reel-singing as I trudged through the deep water attempting to tame him. I landed the angry bruiser with the trade-off being that my phone took a swim and I kinda did too. Thank you @lifeproof .”
