Sabine Skiffs says: When a veteran camper and skiff builder collaborate on a custom skiff cover you end up with a custom fit measured twice Sunbrella cover with elastic band and tie down straps, double thick pads on all push pole holders/caddy, cleat, trolling motor bracket and tent pole supports to ensure not one Oak leaf or rain drop collects in the open cockpit. #wedoourbesttodoourbest #custom #skifflife #packandpaddle #marshy

Do you have any issues with water collecting in the low sections? I can’t seem to get enough surface tension on the cover to keep water from creating low spots. It also might be the cheap cover I bought, as well

@jonbreaksdown so far this customer has had zero issues. It’s 6-8 months old and has had great success. The integrated tent poles help.

@sabineskiffs thanks for the reply. I need to make something like support poles for mine.

Open cockpit hulls are very hard for covers. A good fit to keep the cover tight and good cover supports are key. Good luck.

@sabineskiffs thanks, man. I have probably one of the most open cockpit hulls I’ve seen. Haha. I have an 1987 15′ Johnsen Skiff. Just until I can afford a newer (and bigger) flatsboat haha. Haha.
