Andy says: Making a run to the tarpon flats of Charlotte Harbor with @robschmidt38 and @jamiesoutfishin .
I seriously don’t know what this area is going to look like tomorrow morning, nor do I know what Irma is going to do to the fishing. What I do know is that while I love fishing this area, I am really concerned that my 101 year old grandma is currently sitting at her retirement home, directly in the path only about 20 miles from where this shot was taken. She is optimistic from the sounds of it, and her retirement home is stocked with food and has a backup generator. Many of the home employees have in fact brought their families to weather the storm there, as it is safer than their houses. Still…it’s completely nerve wracking. Not only for my grandma, but for everyone in the path. I feel helpless and a little sick. Reminders of this help: “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Right now, praying is the only option.
