What happened?
Yea! How??
Pogy boats! Damn shame
Pogey boats. It was a bunch of big jacks and black drums floating off of main pass day before yesterday. And there were about 6 pogey boats setting nets right there in the same area. @whatever_bites
Christ!
Dead’s as far as you can see.
?
Probably smelled like chipotles queso too ??
That’s sucks
Had the same thing happen in Bay Long when the shrimping season started about a month and a half ago… looked like a fish genocide
Every year the pogy fleets kill thousand of pounds of mature breeder red fish. State of La doing anything about it. Crickets
I’m glad u boys posted this!
@dkampy
@redfishdynasty for sure bro. Wish I could get this in the hands of more than just a few people around here. You would think people would spread this around everywhere until something is done.
Wow!
This happened two years in a row here in Alabama not sure exactly what caused it, I was worried about populations but only two years past that and I believe we have the most redfish we have had in years..
Came across the same thing up here this summer, squid boats and dead striped bass in their wake. There is a push to try and get them further offshore.
@proredfish
Damn pogey boats watched them three weeks ago in Breton sound net about 20 dolphins.
